Neo-volunteers for the UN, peace and a better world
(Excerpt from the full version in Portuguese: https://pef1mm.blogspot.com/2025/06/neo-voluntarios-para-onu-paz-e-mundo.html).
After the Second World War, (1), the world has never been so close to a nuclear war that could destroy the planet 5 times over, and have devastating consequences for the entire world, (2).
The best way to end all wars will be a democratic UN, with more power, commissions preceding each conflict and international courts with more power than those that already exist.
We can all volunteer to give more power to the UN, to international courts, to avoid a nuclear war and an arms race like there was after the Second World War.
At the UN before António Guterres, not even the greatest philanthropist in the history of humanity, Bill Gates, could be a volunteer. With António Guterres, UN volunteering is better, but it still has many limitations and bureaucracy. I propose new forms of “neo-volunteering” where you don’t need to be rich, even the poorest can volunteer, you don’t need to have a degree, even an illiterate can volunteer, in any country, whether poor or rich: in the richest countries to help the most disadvantaged locals and gather funds or resources to support the UN’s objectives in the poorest countries. I use the term “Neo” to mean: new, ethical, online. With the Internet and new technologies, the world evolves every second. The UN continues with an 80-year-old structure, unable to respond to current global needs. If it is not possible to improve the UN, I propose the creation of a “Neo-UN”, new, ethical, online, with the Internet and new technologies allowing everyone to collaborate, for a second-by-second evolution. Even those who cannot read can collaborate with others, participate in online demonstrations, support individuals or groups of neo-volunteers, build memorials, monuments and works of art in support of the UN, peace and a better world.
Whenever local or national authorities support or allow it, I suggest the creation of memorials that can consist of a simple pile of stones, remains of cement and destroyed houses, remembering the effects of wars, with a sign: “LONG LIVE PEACE, LONG LIVE THE UN, NO MORE WARS”.
All you need to do is know how to travel online to be a neo-volunteer for peace and a better world: by liking the best UN online speeches by António Guterres for peace, translating them into several languages, sharing them on social media. Those who are more knowledgeable about the Internet and want to contribute more can create email lists for the best selection, create blogs with their ideas for new volunteers for peace and a better world or select what they agree with from my blog.
The most engaged can even earn money by selecting or translating into several languages my 3 eBooks: https://cutt.ly/twdeEiQB. I offer my rights to those who participate in the project to earn online with ethics and global social utility, to contribute to peace in Ukraine and in the world, easily with eBooks, “PeBooks” and “CeBooks”, https://pef1mm.blogspot.com/2024/12/ganhar-online-com-etica-e-utilidade.html.

Some say that the Third World War has already begun and is at risk of becoming worse than the previous two combined. The best way to stop it and prevent all wars will be a greater power of the UN. In a globalized world, where an atomic bomb can cause global damage, there is one law that overrides all others: global ethics and common sense of international justice.
If the most popular blogs, websites or social networks of a nation advocate the use of nuclear weapons, they reflect the most popular opinion and a politician can use nuclear weapons to defend his domestic popularity, without considering the global consequences.

The consequences of a nuclear attack would be catastrophic and would affect not only the affected areas, but also the entire world. Experts warn that a nuclear attack would change the course of history and bring devastating consequences for all humanity. Putin has spoken several times about its use and has modified the laws governing its use. In practice, Russia can invade and destroy any nation; anyone who responds in its defense and does not have nuclear weapons or reacts with a delay of a few seconds will be wiped off the map.
Ukrainian attacks on Russian military bases, including strategic bombers, have increased concerns about a possible escalation of the conflict. Some analysts and public figures in Russia have suggested that these strikes could justify a nuclear response, citing Russian military doctrine that allows the use of nuclear weapons in the event of a threat to critical military infrastructure. Russia has destroyed hospitals, schools, and civilian infrastructure, and in attacking Ukraine, it cannot attack the military objectives of the invasion of Ukraine and its aircraft dropping its atomic bombs.
