Open Letter to Pope Leo XVI: On behalf of humanity, present and future, I want to thank you for your moving speech for peace and three requests.

On behalf of humanity, present and future, I want to thank you for your moving speech for peace.

On behalf of humanity, present and future, I have three requests: 1) Call Putin and ask him for a more just peace than that requested by António Guterres; 2) Do as Pope Francis did, call Cyril and tell him that religions should promote peace and not war; 3) Promote an ecumenical religious congress of all religions, even those that promote crimes like Cyril, or Islamic terrorism, to convert the worst with the speeches, messages, and examples of the best. On behalf of current and future humanity, I would like to thank you if you would call Putin and ask for a more just peace than António Guterres wants: not only withdraw your troops from the invaded and stolen territories, but also compensate Ukraine and the world for the current and future damages:

1) Increased global pollution with each day of Ukraine's destruction and future reconstruction. Current destruction produces pollution. But cement is one of the worst polluters, and the future reconstruction of housing for those being destroyed every day is another source of pollution. Pollution caused 12.6 million deaths in one year, according to the UN. Everyone who supports Putin in the invasion of Ukraine, especially those who increased the business dealings with the criminal left by the most civilians, is complicit in these current and future deaths. Putin, with the invasion of Ukraine, is the worst perpetrator of current pollution, with even worse future consequences.

2) Destruction of the environment with consequent natural disasters. Putin is the worst perpetrator of environmental damage after Hitler and Stalin. 3) The invasion of Ukraine caused an increase in weapons and military spending unlike anything seen in Europe after the deaths of Hitler and Stalin. Some increased their spending to steal like the thief Putin, and others to defend themselves from thieves. If Putin and Russia are rewarded for the invasion of Ukraine and its crimes, it will encourage them to continue like Hitler until their total defeat. The money from this increase in military spending, instead of increasing social services and combating poverty, could lead to an escalation of crimes and catastrophes like those of Hitler and Stalin. As a great power, it enjoys the Machiavellian Putinist philosophy that the strongest can invade and rob the weakest without paying the consequences. Will the next invasion be of South Korea in exchange for Kim Jong Un's services, or of Taiwan with full support to thank Xi Jinping for his economic support in the invasion of Ukraine, or of Pakistan? Isn't a peaceful world better, where the most civilized, ethical, and with the greatest sense of justice, humanity, and global coexistence can win in a global competition to produce the best for all? Can human and economic investment be used worse than in armaments and militarism, instead of contributing to a better world?

4) The invasion of Ukraine caused deaths in war, deaths from famine, and humanitarian catastrophes. This can only continue with the complicity of religious figures like Kirill and the Russian Orthodox Church. The most civil, ethical, and justice-minded religions must boycott criminals, thieves, imperialists, Machiavellians, Putinists, and their accomplices.

5) For 80 years, the UN was the best guarantee of peace and punishment for criminal thieves, Machiavellian militarist imperialists who invaded weaker nations to rob them, as it did against North Korea when it invaded South Korea or Iraq when it invaded Kuwait. There have been no similar invasions until the current one in Ukraine. But now the UN can do almost nothing against the worst violation of the UN Charter, the worst criminal of our time, the worst crimes against humanity today, with the worst future consequences. The most civil, ethical, and just should protest and boycott business with Putin to avoid financing the worst invasion in Europe after Hitler and Stalin invaded Poland to divide it between them.

6) International organizations and sectors of civil society that advocated for peace and rules-based international law recognize their impotence against Machiavellian military powers. Peaceful religions can be a moral force for the best against the worst.
